The interior is comfortable and cozy, but it is the outdoor space that is the main attraction of Sete Quintas, an accommodation located in Retorta, in the municipality of Miranda do Corvo, with 4 rooms and 1 family suite. Nature is imposing, and the Dueça River embraces the old mills, now restored and transformed into charming stone houses. Outdoors, guests can have barbecues and enjoy their meals surrounded by the dominant greenery. On warmer days, the outdoor pool is a great place to relax.
The main building also houses the Olive Oil Museum, an old mill that had been inactive for more than 60 years, where now it showcases how olive oil was produced in bygone times.
Sustainability has been a strong focus. The organic garden supplies the kitchen daily with a variety of ingredients. In cooking, gas is dispensed with, and delicacies of genuine flavor come out of the wood-fired oven. Recycling and composting are also a reality here.
Carlos Pinto, a former IT professional, is the mastermind behind this project “with enormous growth potential” and in which he intends to continue investing.
