After hosting the European Championships in the sport in 2018, with athletes acknowledging that some of the best trails in the world are found there, Lousã will host, from 29 October to 1 November, the last two stages of the Downhill World Cup. The winners of the 2020 season will be announced at Louzanpark. The competition brings together around two hundred athletes of various nationalities.

The track chosen to host the World Cup is called DH2 and is about 2.1 km long. It is a very technical and demanding track, designed to challenge the best athletes and, at the same time, encourage users to step up and push their limits. It is mostly made up of natural areas.
