Walking along the Schist Paths

Inauguration of the Velho de Unhais Route (PR9) in Pampilhosa da Serra

Saturday, 8 April – PR9
Inauguration of the PR9 PPS- Pampilhosa da Serra Schist Walking Trail - Rota Velho de Unhais, a 17.8 Km linear trail linking Unhais-o-Velho to Vidual. Heading towards the reservoir of the  Santa Luzia dam, you will walk along dirt tracks and roads, with the water of the dam forming a backdrop.

Programme

  • 8am – Departure of the bus from Av. dos Bombeiros Voluntários from Pampilhosa da Serra to Casal da Lapa
  • 8.45am – Start of the trail near the Santa Luzia Dam.
  • 1pm  – Inauguration of the trail
  • 1.30pm -  Lunch gathering at Unhais-o-Velho
  • 4pm – Tocata in the old style with the Machio Concertinas. 

Note: Registration is free but compulsory
