The "A Dois Passos do Paraíso" Festival, promoted by the Municipality of Sertã in collaboration with the local associative network, kicks off on March 16 with the "Sentir Pedrógão Pequeno" walk, guided by journalist and historian Rui Lopes.
Organized by the Association for the Development of Monte da Nossa Senhora da Confiança, this walk will begin at 09:00, with participants gathering at the Pedrógão Pequeno Municipal Market at 08:30. The walk is approximately seven kilometers long, with an estimated duration of three hours. It has an easy difficulty level and includes a refreshment stop at Moinho das Freiras, as well as lunch at the headquarters of the Association for the Development of Monte da Nossa Senhora da Confiança. Participants are advised to bring water, comfortable clothing, and footwear.
Participation in this walk is limited to 150 registrations. Registration is mandatory and individual, and must be completed by March 13. The cost is €10 per person. Participation is free for children up to 5 years old and costs €5 for children between 6 and 10 years old. This includes refreshments, lunch, and personal accident insurance. The "A Dois Passos do Paraíso" initiative will take place until June 2025. It includes two walks per month through the marked walking routes of the Sertã municipality, allowing participants to explore the territory, connecting with rural life, historical and cultural heritage, and enjoying nature and biodiversity through environmentally healthy sports and tourism activities.
