From 17 to 19 October 2025, the village of Janeiro de Baixo, in Pampilhosa da Serra, will host another edition of the Ritmia Folk Fest – The rhythm of dances in the Schist Villages.

For three days, the village will be transformed into a living stage where music, dance, tradition and nature come together. The programme combines concerts, folk dances, workshops, walks, exhibitions, storytelling and moments of community gathering, always in harmony with the local landscape and culture.

On Friday, the festival opens with the celebration of the equinox and a concert-dance with the group Espiral. Saturday brings a jeropiga workshop, the Voltas ao Ser concert, a performance by the Gaiteiros Tradicionais Portugueses and a dance animated by the Duo Folky Balboa. On Sunday, there will be workshops on the cavaquinho and homemade soaps, an interpretive walk, a performance by the Rancho Folclórico de Pampilhosa da Serra and the closing ceremony, in a community and festive atmosphere.
