Launch of the GRZ- Grande Rota do Zêzere trail - Municipality of Fundão

Barroca
To celebrate World Tourism Day, on 26 and 27 September, renowned athletes will traverse the 370 km from the source to the mouth of the River Zêzere - on foot, by bicycle and in a canoe!

PROGRAMME

12pm – Inauguration of the renovation of the Sra da Rocha Sanctuary (Drumming location)
Inauguration of the Barroca Central Square and multi-sports facility
Ceremony involving the laying of the first stone of the “Friends of Barroca” Cultural and Sports Centre
1pm - Communal lunch at the Lavandeira River Park
2pm – Inauguration of the Barroca Intermodal Station and the Passage of the Baton
