In addition, as part of the European Heritage Days that will take place on 25, 26 and  27 September, and with the aim of drawing attention to this heritage, some  of which are in use and others now abandoned, scattered throughout the territory and displayed in the landscape, we will  hold a walking tour “over” the 5 bridges of Constância. This pedestrian walk, which

will pass along a section of the Great Zêzere Route, will allow us to identify these 5 bridges in the municipality  of Constância, built in different eras, and to understand their presence as an  economic, military and social need for the groups of people in the region.

The location of this built heritage , over the rivers, will allow us to observe rich natural heritage, along with the
riverside scenery with its own flora and fauna and flora that we need to be made aware of and which needs to be preserved.

This activity will include a boat crossing of the Tagus River.

Launch of the Great Zêzere Route in the Municipality of Constância

Walking activity where we will hike the stretch of the Great Zêzere Route between the  CCV-Astronomy Park and the mouth of the Zêzere River in the village of Constância. In order for the  participants to get to know the area they are travelling through better, during the route  an interpretation of various aspects related to the geology, flora, fauna and  landscape will be provided.

Just before we finish the route, by the Zêzere river, when the MTB and Canoeing athletes and the walkers will  meet, and the water of the Constância  municipality will be collected as a souvenir.
