As part of the celebration of Arbor Day and International Day of Forests, both observed on March 21st, the Municipality of Góis is organizing the event "Conhecer as Invasoras: Defender a Floresta" (Know the Invaders: Defend the Forest), promoting volunteerism, civic action for the environment, and interaction among participants. The initiative, scheduled for March 22nd, includes two activities:
Activity 1 - Control of invasive species at Mata da Oitava "Mimosa Barking," aimed at introducing some of the most problematic invasive plants in the municipality of Góis, raising awareness about the importance of recognizing and managing them correctly and effectively. (Duration: 3 hours).
Activity 2 - Interpretive ecological walk "Discovering Invasive Species" - Variant and Baile Trail (PR 9), aimed at observing the landscape and identifying the changes caused by invasive species. (Duration: 3 hours).
