On 26 October, Lousitânea is supporting yet another initiative that celebrates the creativity and craftsmanship of the Schist Villages.
The Cork Mask Makers' Gathering will take place in the Schist Village of Aigra Nova, as part of the Schist Villages' Entrudo Race, and invites everyone to participate in a meeting of sharing, listening and inspiration.
In this gathering, dedicated to the iconic cork mask of Aigra Nova, symbol of the mountain carnival, we will talk about its origins and evolution, meet the first makers and the new artisans, and hear from those who keep this unique art alive.
It will be an informal conversation, open to all, where curiosity and a love of learning come together with conviviality and tradition.
Come and experience the spirit of Entrudo and the creativity of the people of Serra da Lousã up close.
Take the opportunity to get to know the area and book your stay at bookinxisto.com.
