From 13 to 15 September, the village of Alpedrinha will be the location for another edition of Cowbells (Chocalhos) – the Transhumance Paths Festival Ahkorda, Cornalusa, Turdion, MagMell, Alma Menor and CantusD’Alma are the groups who will be on hand to entertain all visitors on the 13th. On the 14th, this service will be performed by Diabo na Cruz, Zikhamu, Orquestra de Foles, Oro and Galo Cant'às Duas.
This event takes place from 13 to 15 September and calls to mind the movement of mountain herds through the streets of the village of Alpedrinha to the Campinas da Idanha.
Of note will be the street entertainment involving various national and international groups strolling through the streets showing the pastoral heritage of Beira Interior, and involving conversations, workshops, painting exhibitions, concerts, handicraft and local product exhibitions, specialised dog shows as well the characteristic accompanying of the flock. This activity will start at the Fundão Municipal Square and pass through the paths of Gardunha, as far as Alpedrinha, where the masked bell-wearing dancers wait for the flock with a characteristic lunch.
