The Porto de Vacas Improvement Committee, in the parish of Janeiro de Baixo, is holding another edition of its Carnival on the Porto de Vacas Schist Walking Trail on 18 February.
As usual, this 9th edition of the event runs along the Porto de Vacas Schist Walking Trail, one of the nine Pedestrian Footpaths Network of the Pampilhosa da Serra municipality. The route is noteworthy for its contact with pure nature, where the Zêzere river provides a water scenery that will take your breath away.
The initiative also invites all participants to socialise with local inhabitants, in a gastronomic encounter offering the best of the region. In the afternoon, there is no lack of musical entertainment by the “Ca’Gaita” Group and the concertinas of some of the locals.
