The Historic Centre of Fundão will once again be the vibrant heart of the Cale & SangriAgosto Street Festival, taking place from July 31 to August 3, 2025. This popular event celebrates urban vitality by promoting traditional commerce, local products, the regional economy, as well as art and culture in many forms.
With a focus on quality, authenticity, and sustainability, the festival stands out for its eclectic programme and strong emphasis on street entertainment, theatre, circus, visual arts, live music, and gastronomy. The streets themselves come alive, beautifully decorated and filled with energy.
Organised by the Municipality of Fundão, the Union of Parishes of Fundão, and the Fundão Business and Industrial Association (ACICF), the festival aims to offer a unique and enriching experience, where gastronomy and high-quality products — from traditional flavours to more alternative proposals — take centre stage.
The 2025 programme promises to surprise with innovative offerings such as intimate aerial performances, clown circus shows, interactive digital installations, and community-led creations involving the local population. Highlights include the digital installation “Janela Mística”, the aerial performance “BLUE”, interactive shows by Marimbondo Company, and the bold and irreverent presence of the band Ena Pá 2000.
